Art Walks in the Greater Estes Valley
The Estes Park art scene has grown over the last twenty years, and many artists of national and international renown are now represented in the galleries on the current art map. From museum quality shows to quaint artist studios, enjoy original art which varies from original paintings, sculpture, pottery, weaving, jewelry, woodcarving, Native American crafts, glasswork, handmade paper, and photography fashioned by accomplished artists of local, Colorado and national acclaim. Whether your preference is a mountain landscape, wildlife photography, abstract art or an eclectic mix of each, every gallery has something unique to offer. Some locations will have artists on hand demonstrating technique and different mediums of art or have special events planned. Others will have special shows based on special themes or events.
The Art Walks sponsored year round by the Cultural Arts Council is a great way to explore our fabulous art scene. And they are free.
Winter Art Walk
January 15 through May 15, 2010
Under a backdrop of the snow capped Rockies, collectors and art patrons of all ages can take stroll through fourteen great galleries and artist studios during the Annual Winter Art Walk throughout Estes Park. The Winter Art Walk is free, and you can leisurely take the self-guided tour in a day, a week or many times throughout the season.
Winter is the quiet time of year in Estes Park, and a beautiful time to visit. You can cross country ski, snow shoe, relax by a fire in a cozy venue or stroll through the downtown galleries with out all of the hustle and bustle that the busy summer season generates. The Fine Arts Guild's of the Rockies presents plays and musicals, the CAC Fine Art Gallery and the Art Center of Estes Park present special exhibitions, classes and workshops geared for audiences of all ages. The Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit arts agency provides numerous programs in 2010 and encourages visitors of all ages to partake in the many wonderful arts events that occur in Estes Park each year.
Jazz Fest and the Spring Art Walk
MAY 15-16, 2010 - Celebrate 20 Years
Jazz Fest (Both Days of Jazz Free)
The mid-May event is one of the highlights of the spring season – a musical kickoff for the busy summer. It’s the same weekend as the start of the Spring Art Walk, so you can visit galleries, listen to some of the best musical talent in the region.
Bring your own blanket or lawn chairs and camp out for the afternoon to listen to the music.
New for 2010, NO DOGS at the Jazz Fest.
The CAC Fine Art Gallery is directly in front of Performance Park.
See the Representation to Abstraction and PAPEP show, watch members paint all around the Jazz Fest.

Spring Art Walk
Take the self guided tour and explore 15 gallery locations with the diverse offerings that make the Estes Park area’s art scene so unique. From wildlife and landscapes to contemporary and cutting edge, the galleries have a selection of art in all mediums for savvy collectors and patrons to enjoy. Special exhibitions and art that reflects Estes Park’s beautiful Rocky Mountains can also be found created by local, state and national artists. As part of the 20th year celebration, special events including artists painting “en plein air” by the Jazz Fest, and at the CAC Fine Art Gallery located right in front of Performance Park during the May 15-16 weekend.
Most galleries are open between 10 AM to 5 PM. The Spring Art Walk is free and open to the public. A self-guided tour map can be found at the Estes Park Convention and Visitor Bureau, CAC Fine Art Gallery and all participating galleries.
After the Jazz Fest, the Spring Art Walk continues through Memorial Day Weekend (May 31) at all locations.

The 2010 Winter Art Walk cover artist, is Gary Ballard.
"Untouchable" is currently on display at the CAC Fine Art Gallery as part of the "First Show" exhibition and sale.
Ballard resides in Colorado and captured this magnificent photograph while climbing one of Colorado's majestic "fourteeners" last November.

During Art Walks, special events and activities take. Artist demonstrations, such as this one being conducted by Colorado artist Bob Salo in front of the CAC Fine Art Gallery, occur during all seasons of the year.
