2010 ANNUAL PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT POSTER COMPETITION

For the last eighteen years, students from the Park School District have created the publicity posters for Imagine This!

275 entries were accepted in 2010 from Park School District students grades K - 5, from which three cash winners were selected, and four Honorable mention awards. The Cultural Arts Council of Park thanks Park School District staff for their support of annual poster competition, and acknowledge art teacher Valerie Bowles (Elementary) for her good work in the schools.

Judging was done on Wednesday February 10 and local artist K.C. Benson together with staff members Lynda Vogel and Kelly Kotary selected the winners from all entries. Winners were chosen for their creativity, composition, design and interpretation of this year’s Imagine This! theme "Explore A World of Art".



Winners are:

First Place: Chloe Burke, Grade 3
Second Place: Beatrice Hemstreet, Grade 2
Third Place: Oliver Moreau, Grade 4

Honorable Mention Awards go to:
Paulina Tapia Bernal, Grade 2
Reanna Monroe, Grade 5
Alexandra Poppitz. Grade K
Libby Baker, Grade 1

Awards will be presented at Imagine This! at 12:10 PM today in the amount of first place at $25, second at $15 and third at $10 cash. Honorable Mentions will receive art supplies. All winners receive ribbons.

The first place winner was used on the front of the festival’s annual program, a tradition of the competition.
