"Visions for A New Decade"
National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society (NOAPS)

On Exhibition at the Cultural Arts Council Gallery in Estes Park, CO
June 5 through July 4, 2010

Continuing the tradition of presenting blockbuster national art shows, the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park (CAC) will host a diverse mix of art from signature members of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society (NOAPS) in its Fine Art Gallery June 5 through July 4, 2010.

"Visions for A New Decade" spotlights 82 oil and acrylic paintings by 45 NOAPS signature guild members, at the CAC Fine Art Gallery located at 423 W. Elkhorn Avenue in downtown Estes Park.

The public has a limited opportunity to enjoy this National Invitational, which will only be shown in Estes Park, Colorado. "It is a true compliment to the arts community here in Estes Park and the Arts Council's facility to be chosen to host this distinctive national show", states Lynda S. Vogel, CAC executive director. The prestigious exhibition features the work by artists from 20 states.

The fine art paintings in the Invitational are original works in oil and acrylic mediums and are available for purchase. Subject matter includes landscapes, still life, portraiture, stereoscopes, architecture and the cultural heritage of individuals from across the United States and other parts of the world. Style and techniques include photo realism and representational art to other styles including impressionism and abstract interpretations.

"Visions for the New Decade" celebrates the National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society 20th anniversary. "We are extremely pleased to celebrate our 20th with the Cultural Arts Council of Estes Park who is also celebrating a 20th anniversary in 2010", explains Joe Ray Kelley, NOAPS Chairman, Signature Artist Guild. "The National Oil and Acrylic Painters' Society (NOAPS) was organized in 1990 for the purpose of governing, administering and maintaining such activities as will provide a national forum and standard of excellence in which artists can fully express the media of oil and acrylic on canvas and panel", states Kelley adding, "The primary objective of this not-for-profit corporation is the annual national juried art exhibition and competition. In 1991 the first exhibition took place with 100 artists submitting 300 paintings to the jury panel. From this humble beginning, the group has grown to a membership base of over 1400 artist and patron affiliates."

NOAPS focuses on the emerging artist, rather than the well-known painters who have already gained acceptance in the Visual Fine Arts industry. The NAP Society has continued to encourage these extremely talented, artists. This philosophy has served well during a decade of steady growth as evidenced by its tremendous appeal to not only the art connoisseur, but also to the general public. The Society also presents The annual "Best of America" juried show which is open to oil and acrylic painters across the nation with several hundred entries received each year. Less than 100 outstanding paintings are selected for this exhibit.

The Signature Artist Guild of NOAPS was formed to honor the crème de la crème member with NOAPS Signature Artist distinction. To earn this honor and recognition, a member must have a painting selected for the annual Best America exhibit 3 times in a 5 year period. Since NOAPS was organized, only 103 have achieved this honor.

The NOAPS Signature Artist Guild very much appreciates the opportunity provided by CAC Fine Art Gallery of Estes Park to host and showcase the work of the NOAPS Signature Artists, and encourages the public to view this exquisite collection of fine art during its limited four week period in Estes Park, Colorado.

"Visions for A New Decade" will open with a Artist's Reception on Saturday June 5 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The public is invited to attend. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served, and Cynthia Hoyle will perform on the Baldwin Grand piano.

The CAC Fine Art Gallery will be open seven days a week from 12 noon to 5 PM during the exhibition's run. Admission is free. Free-will donations at the door will be accepted to help underwrite the exhibition's costs.
